Allium (Ornamental Onion)

Family : some discussion on this one with it being in both Amaryllidaceae and also its own family group Alliaceae

A large group of varieties and we are concentrating on a small number of the perennial types that grow from a thickened root base instead of the bulb that we all know so well. Excellent garden plants these perennial types make large clumps overtime with huge numbers of flower.
